A Public and Sincere Apology

I inadvertently offended another blogger yesterday. It was not my intention at all, yet somehow my comment made her feel attacked and as if I was questioning her parenting decisions.

I just want her to know that I honestly did not in any way mean to do that. I was honestly just sharing my own experience and feelings, but never once..even a little bit, did I think she was a failure or bad parent.

How one chooses to parent and raise their children (with the obvious exception of something that will cause physical or severe mental harm) is something no one has a right to question. I have always been a person to offer advice based on my own experience or share my own experiences to help offer insight into a situation. That does not mean that I believe one is wrong or that my way is the only correct way.

I just want you to know that I am very sorry for not stating my intention or purpose clearly yesterday and for any hurt feelings that may have occurred because of that.

Sometimes others take what we write the wrong way even when our intentions were purely good and innocent and hopefully the person who was offended by your comments, will realize that. You're a wonderful person and don't beat yourself up over it!

What Sassy said. I know you well enough to know you wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone on purpose. Hopefully all is forgiven though.

Sassy - Thanks :-) I hope so. Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I'm really very horrid at getting my point across. LOL. I always think I've said one thing and somebody takes it another way. Just ask Prince Charming. Poor guy ;-)

The sucky thing about typing our our message instead of being able to HEAR someone speak the message is that we can sometimes misinterpret the tone and true meaning behind the message.

There have been times I've made a comment at 2 a.m. And later on, I cringe because it sounds sorta of cranky. And that's totally not what I meant. I was just too tired and not very articulate. There have been times I've gone back to someone and said, "You know I didn't mean for the comment to sound rude, right? Right? Because I didn't! Please know I love you and would never do that." I think it happens with everybody. And it sounds like you worked it out with the other blogger.

You are a sweetheart.

Lisa - LOL. The funny thing is...I have a horrible migraine right now and answered Karen earlier. Then as I'm sitting here reading what I wrote to her...I realized that it totally sounded crabby and wasn't what I meant. Again. And that what I meant for it to say is what you just said.

OYE.

New rule. I read and reread 3 times before hitting send :-D

And thank you.

Karen - As Lisa said (and I tried to earlier..only not properly..so I've deleted it) it's easy to misinterpret something when you can't actually hear how it is spoken (thank you Lisa for saying what I meant..lol).

Hopefully it will all be cleared up soon and understood to be the misunderstanding it was.

I haven't known you too long and obviously not in person but I don't believe you're the type of person to intentionally want to hurt someone's feelings.
I hope the person has known you long enough to realize that!

Having said that you do not have to censor yourself on my blog!

SLAP ME AROUND AND CALL ME A BITCH!!

Uh... well maybe no slapping, I have delicate skin.
